Who?

 

I booked my volunteer experience with a company called International Volunteer Headquarters (IVHQ). They in turn got in contact with local company Volunteers 2 Uganda who took care of all volunteers for the duration of our stay.

 

Where?

 

All volunteers stayed at a “volunteer” house in a small village called Mutungo. Mutungo is 27 km North East of Entebbe and 20 km South of kampala.

 

Purpose of the trip?

 

To leave a foundation that would create value for as many people as possible for as long as possible.

 

Placement options?

 

There are countless places to volunteer. Places such as working with: Disabled children, sports development, community development, HIV/AIDS testing, medical centre/hospital, orphanage and outreach.

 

Biggest tip?

 

To be as open minded as possible. This is not your average vacation, however you will learn so much about yourself as long as you remain open  and willing to learn.
